I (Bree) have known these two and their families for years and years, so of course when John asked for us to shoot the proposal there was no other option than to be there! John and I met up early to set up the space with some twinkle lights and the blanket that has accompanied them on many adventures over the past couple years (how sweet!). Then John went to pick up Emma who thought they were just going out for their dating anniversary. My heart was racing and I was definitely sweating while hiding behind a pine tree waiting for them to walk by. Emma was completely surprised and had the most beautiful and sweet reaction and, of course, said "yes"! We did a quick little engagement session right after to capture the perfect we-just-got-engaged bliss. All three of us smiled the whole time and the excitement was tangible -- they're getting married!
